A.R.E.A. Services, Inc. is Northumberland County's premier
service providing the latest, most advanced pre-hospital care
and non-emergency transportation services to the residents of
Shamokin, Coal Township, Northumberland and Point
Townships for the past 14 years....24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Each year, A.R.E.A. Services offers a subscription and donation
program to the residents of these communities to offset the
high costs associated with funding of ambulances, building
expenses, medical equipment and training of our Professional
staff of highly skilled EMT's and Paramedics. Your support will
guarantee that our life-saving team will continue to provide
emergency and non-emergency service of the highest quality at
the lowest cost possible.
Subscribers of A.R.E.A. Services are not responsible for any
unpaid balances not covered by insurance for medically
necessary emergency and non-emergency ambulance services.
Your subscription fee is applied to cover any applicable
co-insurance and deductibles you would normally have to pay if
you are not a subscriber. Your subscription could save you
hundreds of dollars.
We need your support by becoming an A.R.E.A. Services
subscriber. When you receive your subscription form, fill out
and return the attached card with the subscription fee. It is very
important that you also fill out the information card that asks for
your demographics, emergency contact, Past Medical History,
Medication and any allergies. This information is very important
in the event of an emergency. This information will assist the
EMT's and Paramedics by providing information that could be
vital during treatment. After completion of this section of the
subscription, the information should be kept in a safe,
accessible place. The most common place is to place the
information in a "vial of life container" and place it in your
refrigerator. For information on making your own "vial of life"

A.R.E.A. Services provides 2 types of membership:
Single Membership - Covers the individual listed on the
subscription.
Family Membership - Covers the family that reside in the
residence. Typically-Parents and family members under 18
years of age.
The membership includes emergency transport and routine
transports when MEDICALLY necessary. The Memberships are
effective on March 1st and are valid until March 31st of the
following year. The membership is only valid when the
subscriber lives and / or is transported to a facility within
A.R.E.A. Services response area.
A.R.E.A. Services reserves the right to third-party billing and
subscription fees are applied toward co-payments or
deductibles.
